Reminder: Spend Your Pet Charms Soon
In upcoming Patch 8.0 Pet Charms will be renamed to Shiny Pet Charms, and the Pet Battle vendors, Lio the Lioness and Serr'ah, will stop accepting this existing currency in exchange for their wares.
Players will not lose any currency during this transition, and Shiny Pet Charms will still be used to purchase existing vendor pets and toys. Additionally, pre-Battle For Azeroth Pet Battle content will continue awarding Shiny Pet Charms.
However, a new currency, Polished Pet Charm, will be required to purchase battlestones, pet bandages, biscuits and treats, cosmetic pug hats, plus any new Battle For Azeroth pets and toys.
The price of the Ultimate Battle-Training Stone is also being increased from 45 to 60 on top of requiring Polished Pet Charms to purchase, in the pre-expansion patch. (example from PTR pictured above)
Polished Pet Charms can only be earned in the expansion, so if you need any battle pet consumables it would be wise to stock up while vendors are still accepting existing currency (Pet Charms).
The bottom line: If you want consumables from the Pet Battle vendors, either to use right now or to stock up for Battle For Azeroth, spend your Pet Charms before the pre-expansion patch! (Patch 8.0 estimated release date mid-July 2018)
We're inching closer and closer to the expansion — it's exciting and we can't wait!
Meh missed these news and now stuck with old charms having all pets+toys, could have had 35 epic stones instead. God damnit.
May not want to make a post specificaly for it, but pre-patch is the 17th for US/18th for EU. Maybe a update at the top of this page?
Will the purchased items from today work on pets acquired in the new expansion or will they only work on pets established in the old expansions?
I have 15 of the Ultimate (lvl 25) stones, and trade in the Flawless Family stones for the Marked Flawless, now I am buying the bags with the Family Battle Stones. I only use the lvl 25 on lvl 1 pets. Any pets I have lvl 10+ I battle to get them to 22/23 then use the Family Stones to get them to lvl 25.
With 4 toons that have daily instant WQ complete, makes collecting charms and stones easy :)

Sent my bank alt which is level 20 too New Dalaran and spent 8,500 pet charms...got mostly Utlimate battle stone and other stone that gives rare too a pet and then any type of pet level stones.
So what is everyone doing with them? I still have over 5000 and I have bought 400 level stones 50 of each pet treat, 40 blue stones.

vega - buy that stuff with your current pet charms now before the pre-expansion 8.0 patch goes live... once that happens, you'll have to get the new currency to buy that stuff... and the old charms will only be used for the pets and stuff on those old vendors
ryu - right. that's the point. but it's not too bad. i have almost enough max-level stones for all of the new pets... so having stockpiled still pays off and cuts a lot of time down.
Are they saying you can not buy pet bandage till BFA?
It's a bummer we'll have to grind all over again, since the total of all the new vendor pets is around 4k charms; but at the same time, if there was no conversion, there'd be nothing to really work for with so many people able to just buy them right out.
