In addition to this, some Pet Battle changes and updates were announced.
Pet Battle World Quests will soon begin showing up on both of the new continents. Similar to Legion, they will count towards your zone’s emissary, but this time around, the level of the pets opposing you will scale to the highest level pet on your team. This will allow a player with a team of only level 1 pets to take on the World Quest and get some battle pet experience. Please give them a shot with pets of all levels, and let us know how that goes for you.
We will be introducing a new currency in Battle for Azeroth that can be used to purchase a variety of things, so there's no need to hold on to those Pet Charms that are burning a hole in your pocket.
Several new pet battle mechanics are coming to Battle for Azeroth. Some of these will appear on enemy pets, and some on yours.
Check out the full blue post here. Here's a quick summary of the updates:
- BFA Pet Battle World Quests will level scale with your highest active pet (level scaling will not apply to wild battles)
- New pet currency (existing currency can still be used to purchase existing rewards)
- Several new Pet Battle mechanics
- Notable pets and abilities changed (Bone Serpent, Crow, Gilnean Raven, Teroclaw Hatchling, Cyclone, Haunt)
Feel free to test the upcoming BFA Pet Battle content on the Beta and provide some constructive feedback on the thread linked above.
man i cant wait who wanna pet battle me i'll battle any lvl pet
Exciting stuff! Can't wait to see what Feasel has planned for us in BFA!
where are all the wild pets? have they not been implemented yet?
While I was out questing on the Beta, I came across a pet tamer. You could interact with him but he didn't offer any battles, so they are there...Looking forward to testing this out when it is released in Beta! I didn't see any of the tamers on the Alpha.
I saw a very good blue post recently that explained that they like to change abilities/sets on various pets because it gives variety to players (instead of using the same pets every single expac) and because it means they can "rotate" the pets with particularly good movesets. Makes perfect sense to me. :)
I'm encouraging guildies to get Arguss done. I'm a little worried about the cyclone nerf for the boss strats there. While it's good they ask is to let them know if things are too strong, better safe than sorry in case that happens a long ways down the road.
Bring on the Haunt nerf! Awesome.
Any news on what they're doing with Gilnean Crow? Most importantly, are they going to affect the rarity of the SS breed?
I really dont like they go in and change movesets or stats, really fakk us breed-minded collectors up, forcing us to re-evaluate current breed we have selected.
