Status Update (1)

Took another 4 year break, got even more catching up to do since previous break, haha.

So, yeah, at the moment i'm slowly working my way up the expansions, exploring new pets, bought a couple cool ones on AH, Micromancer is my favorite new pet for now, despite that dead pets now also gain XP, it is still a nice carrier, especially if you have 2 of them.

In terms of looks, there's a lot of new cool ones, Eye of Corruption is probably my favorite new eye, just a pity that it's so noisy!

Will update again soon.

Who doesnt like hard hits, high speed and a self heal?

Team "Dino Riders":

Clockwork Gnome (2/1/1) + 2x Zandalari Kneebiter (2/2/2)

Love the way this pet looks, probably my favorite design, but boy is it noisy!

The same thing is going on with the Eye of the Legion, it's that constant noise that will get on your nerves at some point.

It is fairly decent in battles, but for me, this is mainly a vanity pet, if only you could mute it.

I used this one in the Deadmines pet dungeon, it stood like a ... tree!

Using H/H Ironbark, Thorns, Photosynthesis, i was able to solo a whole battle against the Unfortunate Defias and have enough health left to be used again in several battles afterwards.

Worked especially well against the parrots, because they use multiple attacks, thus giving themself more damage because of your Thorns, while you reduce a lot of damage per hit, win win, and a heal each turn too, win win win :P

Nice gentle fella.

I think H/P and H/H are his best breeds, because H/S only gives him 273 speed, only with Overtune does it (barely) give him the edge.

I tend to prefer slow and steady, so i usually use Zap + Shock and Awe, to get their health down and try to finsih it with Ion Cannon.

They could have made him a bit bigger though, because its kinda puny compared to the Sunblade and Sunreaver.

Other than that, its a nice pet to have around.

This pet is pretty nice. It looks cool and no, as another poster said it doesnt have the stubby arms that are shown here and in the pet book. It does come with the shields on his arms.

Reflective Shield + Ion Cannon is one of the rare combinations where you can use Ion Cannon and still do some extra damage while recovering. Albeit for 1 turn, but still.

It has a fairly low health pool, but with 289 speed it can sometimes hit first.

I like it.

As others have said, this little guy is pretty nice for a PvE team against a boss with backline pets.

Minefield + Stun (and enemy switch) is a hard hitting combo.

It is faster than the average Mechanical pet, aside from S/S breeds.

I only wish it had a Boombot ability like Lil' XT, instead of Batter / Zap, it would have been fun to place a bomb too, making little copies of itself like a selfcontained Bombsquad.

Also one of my favorite pets to walk around with.

Squids and tentacles, i like that Blizz is throwing in some more of the freaky creatures.

Useful against Aquatic pets because of the Magic racial and Syd's aquatic abilities can benefit from Cleansing Rain that the enemy often uses, or cast your own Cleansing Rain :)

To beat him at Darkmoon, i use Anubisath Idol, keep using Crush and always use Deflection when his Whirlpool counter is down to 1, Syd should die easily this way.

As other posters said, very cool looking pet.

I love the Old God and Ahn'Qiraj themed pets, but all, except Anubisath Idol, are kinda hard to make them work properly.

The P/S breed is not bad, but without a proper heal and low health pool, it is tricky to balance the Life Exchange.

You dont want to cast Exchange before the enemy, but with 289 speed, that can sometimes happen, so i would put this one under the "Hit and Run" switch pets.

Eyeblast, Innervision, Interrupting Gaze seems nice too.

Re: K'ute

Im happy that they put a Naaru pet in, because i really like them.

I really hope Blizz one day decides to make this an actual battle pet, because that would be cool.

I'd love to have it be a healer/shield pet, it doesnt even need to attack, as long as it can heal or protect the other members;

H/H   H:1725, P:268, S:252 (Breed 6 or 16, depending on the gender)

Wish / Inspiring Song,

Celestial Blessing / Dazzling Dance,

Fade / Lullaby.

If only :)

Cool pet, quite noisy as well.

It has a nice variety of abilities, but i dont think that this is a "make or break" kind of pet.

I think this is also a switch pet, because the abilities dont interconnect enough to make it stand out on its own, but it could work if you are looking for something in a themed PvE team.

Fun pet to have, the Yogg whispers are cool, as if you really have a tiny piece of Old God with you.

I think this is a switch pet, cast Forboding Curse to lower their speed, getting a couple Slaps or Crushes out, then put up a Barrier and switch.

Unless you want to use it as an Elemental "Slayer", but i think it lacks the health to sustain for a long period, despite the Magic racial, but i could be wrong.

I havent really tested around much with it yet.

Re: Legs

I really like these tripods, i seem to have a thing for Alien and insect things.

I dont want to complain too much, but, i wish they were bigger, or better, or both :)

The Coilfang Stalker can have higher Power, but Legs' Pump ability makes up for that, but i feel it still lacks something.

Its ability set makes me think he is made for switching, and i have not yet mastered the art of switches.

For years i've wanted to own one of these tripod pets, pity that they are a lackluster in battle.

And i wish they were a bit bigger too.

It has a strange ability set, i can't really see what i can use it for, other than being a random team filler when leveling it.

If you really want to use a tripod pet like this in battle, then i think Legs (Children's Week version) is better for battle. But even that one is so-so.

Considering that every Wyrmling has the same abilties, this one might be the best, since it comes as a P/P breed.

I prefer the Mana Wyrmling for its looks, but i would probably use this one in battle, IF i started using Wyrmling pets in battle.

As much as i love them, i just havent found proper use for them yet.

This used to be one of my favorite pets before they could battle.

Unfortunately it didnt become a staple in my battle stable.

The abilities aren't special and its strength doesn't warrant a lot of danger either, but Deflection is still nice.

I bought mine years ago, so i could not choose a breed, Blizz turned it into a B/B, but i bought a H/P later on, because i think it suits the pet better, its speed is low with every breed (max 276), so you might as well stack up on Power or Health.

Not the most interesting pet to look at, but it has a nice ability set.

Healing abilities are always welcome.

I think naming it Expungebob actually made me like this pet more, because otherwise i don't really have much to say about it :)

It is one of the best Slimes though, if you can get a full Health, Speed or Power breed, it might be pretty dangerous, unfortunately i have a Peanut/Butter breed, but it can still pack a punch.

EDIT: bought an S/S version and it is pretty deadly

This is a pet that i have mixed feelings about, i love Ahn'Qiraj and i love the way this pet looks, it is just a pity that its so tiny.

Ive always wanted an Ooze pet like this, but its small size make it kind of anti-climactic to run around with it, Toxic Wasteling is much more fun.

I hope Blizzard will make this pet twice as big, or give it the Toxic Wasteling growth animation. Otherwise it is a bit bland.

It is a decent battle pet though, but not something to rely on.

By far my favorite Slime when it comes to appearances, i called mine Deploris.

It eats non-battle critters almost non-stop and grows in size up to 3 times, it will continue eating critters after that, but it doesnt grow bigger after 3 times.

But it gets quite big, almost the size of a Hunter pet, which i think is hilarious.

If only Hunters were able to tame aberrations.

As a battle pet its nothing special, there are better breeds out there with the same ability set.

This is kind of an oddball, but i like it.

I used my P/P with Rake, Leap and Siphon Life, which is a weak ability set, but combined with the 341 power and Magic racial, it lasts surprisingly long and it is very disruptive.

H/H or H/P might be more suitable for it, but i didnt catch one of those yet.

I like that this pet gives off a glow that lights up your character when you stand close to it. I wish the Netherspace Abyssal had that too.

The deconstruct and reconstruct animation is a bit silly to be honest, but its still better than just standing around. (yes im looking at you Minfernal).

I really like the Infernal Demons, but unfortunately i havent been able to build a good team with or around them. But writing this comment makes me want to experiment with them again.

Another one of my favorite pets, this is my favorite out of the Infernal Demon pets.

Both in looks and in ability/breed table. Plus its Hellfire animation is nice too.

I have a P/P, H/H and P/S and they all have their own uses, like another poster also mentioned.

Although it usually doesnt make its way into my best teams, but its still useful enough in casual PvE battles.
