A very B pet, literally. There are arguments to be made to use P/B, H/B, or S/B breeds. The healing is great, when paired with H/B. The DoTs are great when paired with S/B. The damage is good when paired with P/B. I think you're mostly going Agony to Haunt and then rush for the 2X damage debuff. So, likely the P/B is the best, and H/B a close second.

Caught this pet hanging around 51, 71 at 10:20pm on my server. It was a white, buuuutt I've been looking for this pet for a *while* as it was the last one to finish out my Shadowlands Safari achieve so I capped it. I have been looking for it very early in the mornings and *never* see it in any of the areas - it might only come around at night?

With undead pets, if they get to their undead round and they are primary/you haven't killed the primary yet, quit and try again. It will be back on its first life again when you try again. Don't risk losing it.

Note that it cast HAUNT and I thought it was dead and almost resigned. Waited 4 rounds and it came back to life. Used super bark on my Molten Corgi and trapped it. Happy hunting!

After hunting it for 2 days straight and missing out on Day 1 when the World Quest was in play, I found him again, without World Quest. It would appear that this is a unique zone spawn pet. Only one of them can show up at a time. It'll either be in Banewood/Grove of Terror near Night Market in the south, or it will be in Menagerie of the Master outside of Sanguine Depths in the north. If you don't find one in one of the spawn point, go to the other.

He appeared as a frontline pet, literally stalking the Night Market in the Grove of Terror.
He uses Haunt.. so don't give up the fight like I almost did. Because he will come back. In fact. I caged him in his undead phase.. which I wasn't even sure was allowed. But yay! Finished off my Shadowlands Safari.

After reading on the Wowhead guide on day 1 of launch that a specific WQ had to be up in order to catch this pet, I kinda put it out of my mind for a few days. Came across the comments on this website so I went to have a look and found a rare one straight away. :)

Any thoughts on the best breed for combat?
I got mine tonight in Banewood. After searching my server for a few hours. I server hopped and there he was! No World Quest up either! Good Luck!

Found one using /tar Lost Soul at /way 51, 70.

I must be very lucky because I found this wild pet while I was leveling in Revembreth zone: The Banewood (46.70, 75.22).
I got one at 51, 74. It was the only one up and a primary. No world quests active, either.

Found Lost Soul as the primary pet in The Banewood at /way 52, 72
found one at 51 70 in The Banewood as a primary
They can definitely be primary pets. I saw one near the Halls of Atonement 77,48, and another at The Night Market 51,78.
