Collecting this pet is one of the requirements for the achievement Raiding with Leashes IV: Wrath of the Lick King, which rewards a quest to battle Algalon. Defeating him rewards Stardust!

Deep beneath the Argent Tournament grounds a clutch of eggs belonging to mates Acidmaw and Dreadscale was found.
Have been farming ToC for pets... so far have had seven of these drop - four from 10 reg, the others from 25 and 25H. They seem far more common than many other WotLK drops.
I have run the instance on 4 different characters and had zero pet drops. I must be very unlucky =(
Just ran a 25 and a 25H and had 0 pet drops. So definitely no 100% drop on any of these. Grats on the great luck though!
I can confirm that it seems to have a 1/1 drop rate. I got it on my first try on 25 HC, too.
Will drop in 10 man normal. No heroic or 25 man required. I've gotten 2 of them so far.
Edit: Seems to color change. Resummoning the same one over and over again results in a yellowish or blue belly, but those are the only colors changing. Have yet to see the brownish version with white spikes/hair shown in alternate skins. Anybody else?
