I happened to come by an Alliiance raid on Ulmath so I joined in. Afterwards I started to fly off and heard more fighting so I joined into that one as well. I didn't catch the name, but it was a rare yellow crab. I got the blue Diamondshell as a drop.

The ratio/chance of getting a particular colour of Glittering Diamondshell is a bit unusual. From the game database it's:

black-red: 5/15 = 1/3

black-blue: 4/15

black-green: 3/15 = 1/5

black-orange: 2/15

red-blue: 1/15

 

It's the only pet I've found with such a weird ratio.

I can confirm that the red body/blue gem variant DOES exist. I had to buy 40 diamondshells off the AH before I got one.

So i bought over 20 of these suckers. So far many many black/blue, black/red, black/green ones, one black/yellow one. I couldnt however find the red/blue one. Can anyone confirm that the red/blue variant exists?

I have found 5 colors, sadly I can only hold 3 of the 5 in collections.. :( This pet should either change colors or we should be allowed to hold more than 3 (As a collector anyways)

I have found at least 3 variations of this pet:

Red eyes/markings, green eyes/markings and yellow eyes/markings.

A rare species of crab found mostly in Nazjatar, it hides easily amongst the ample kelp and coral of the area.
