I have never seen this pet as a secondary.  I've yet to see a rare, but every poor and common quality version has had the same, balanced stat set.  I'd love to hear from someone who has seen a different configuration.

Finding these fellows took a few trips & a few rounds of clearing out the caves (though I don't know that that truly helps them spawn).  It seems to be feast or famine with them.  When they're up, they respawn faster than you'll be able to mow through them looking for a rare.

These pets have no self heals, but they're sturdy and hit like a tank against the right opponents.  You may not want to use this when battling blues as they can often take out a foe in a couple of swats.

I did find a few of these in Stranglethorn, but they're much more common in the Un'Goro Crater zone.  They seem to be in most parts of the zone.

These can be found as the primary battle pet, not just secondary.
