Just to add one more dimension to this discussion...

 

 

There USED to be an American only promotional pet, the Battle-Bot, from an American Mountain Dew promotion.

 

 

When MoP was released, Blizzard put it on a vendor for the rest of the world and any American who missed the promotion...

 

 

That pretty much killed any sympathy I had for keeping EU or Asian exclusive pets exclusive. It's okay to re-release a US Mountain Dew promotional pet, but NOT okay to re-release a Chinese Coke promotional pet? Lame.

Just picked up a caged one for 10k on my server from a random seller in trade. Bargain if you ask me.

 

I've sold dozens of far more common pets for about 5k each, and a couple for MORE than 10k. So all and all I think it was a worthwhile buy. (Not that I plan on selling the little guy, he's MINE now, lol)...

Actually I was able to catch a Bandicoon Kit on the veiled stair in beta. I can't confirm that this hasn't changed in live, as I have yet to find any, but I can't see why it would have.

 

 

The pups are a rare spawn and not guaranteed to always be up, but two will occasionally spawn alongside an adult. Same goes for Malayan Quillrats and their pups on the veiled stair. (And I CAN confirm lvl 1 Quillrat pups spawn up there in live, as I've found them up twice now and caught all four.)

My fellow pet collectors rejoice!

I know many (self included) have struggled to obtain this guy (or other holiday pets) for years, but on Tuesday, at long last, we can simply TRADE for caged ones!

I for one will be hoping to trade one of my three Lumpys for a Frigid Frostling come Tuesday. And since pets can be caged and uncaged cross-realm, I imagine it shouldn't be too hard to find someone somewhere who'll be interested.

Never shall I have to slay Ahune for this guy again!
