As of patch 5.3 (May 21st '13), there is no pet. :S

I haven't actually max leveled a snake before. This one is 24 currently and an all hp breed. He seems pretty good battle-wise. Against critters anyway. I'm hoping next load of Tamers to battle will have some Humanoids, but that's unrelated to this little dude of course as he won't do so well there lol

I did level this guy to 25 and REALLY wanted to use him, but he's just not as good as rag, felflame ele, phoenix hatchling or pretty much any of my other ele I use specifically for mechanicals. Don't seem to hit that hard and he can't take a beating either. He's almost dead even before his Geyser hits. Shame really.. At least although Rag is squishy too he hits like a truck.

I actually got this lovely little guy (only one of the new carps that has two heals to use at the same time). I got him in a Reef Octopus pool after about 350 caught Octopus. So I been fishing salmon and the other fish of the day like crazy to get the other ones. BUT just yesterday I caught about 600-700 salmon and no blue, green or red carp for me. SO I must've just been really lucky with the tiny white carp. A bummer but I am really grateful I got him :)

Tip: listen to audiobooks when you fish

I am almost 100% that when I engaged a rare of these today my addon that tells the breed said it was something else BESIDES a P/P, which is what he turned out to be after I caught him. P/P (two points in power) is breed 4 as far as I remember. Just maybe my addon messed up or maybe at least it's worth noting that you should capture it and see what breed it turns out to be.

Am I the only one who likes using this guy? How good for PvP he is I can't comment on but I find it nice that he has a heal and secondly being a Humanoid I just pop Immolation and put him on the back row if his health is low ..and just watch him gain hp every round.

At least ONE battle pet that doesn't have crap breeds. Mine is a H/H or a 6 full hp (1806). I use his heal abilities and i can always keep him up.I use him against ALL the dragon's in Pandaria. (He works!! until I get Scourged Whelpling). I find myself using him alot when i am sniper leveling other pets too. I'll let him die but after he triggers his undead ability i put on "Plagued Blood" That way the rest of my pets will get healed for their attacks.

My lastest leveling project. I have an idea of sporting this dude with 5 breed or 8 (what I have now) against humanoids. Utilizing Leech Life, Cauterize and Brittle Webbing. It's a max healing combo I know.. just curious how it would work. :) ...if anyone has a 20+ lvl one give a shout out how that worked if you have tried. it could (in my own mind at least) be viable against critters (lack of flayer lol) and humanoids.

If you really are in love with this guy I suggest looking to see if there is another aquatic with the same set of abilities (no, I don't mean the other 3 you can get from the BC fishing daily).

Thinking of replacing my Rapana Whelk for one of these because I have been unable to get a 5/15 breed rare Whelk - I am stuck with a 12/22 breed. And according to this website this here snail comes in 9/19, which is better than 12/22.

Having quite the trouble finding a rare in 5/15 breed ..or S/S if you will. The one I leveled is 12/22 :S Was wondering if I use a stone on a common 3/13 breed I caught, it'll not change breed, will it?

I do think some of you are onto something. The reason why you are able to get one right after restart is probably cos the CRZ isn't up yet!

Everytime I've logged on right after restart the place is filled with campers and I never seem a single Scourged Whelpling.

Now, I do think having pets hard to get is a good thing but this is a little too much. Mainly cos it's more to do with if your server will ever come up first, before other servers.. :S

Had been looking for this guy for some time & kinda had given up cos I was annoyed.Then a few days ago I was clearing out the list of pets I was missing from the different zones. I half-heartedly went to the area of my map where the Humanoid icons were & there was quite a few of them. It wasn't just after a reset or anything. In fact, in my search for a rare I doubled back upon my route and some had respawned again.Seriously,I spent hours there before and never saw a single one.Just Luck

Used a battle-stone on this guy and one of my addons (have a few so I am not sure which one it is) says that at 25 he'll have 1465 hp, 289 power and 273 speed. That varies slightly from what it suggests on the website here.

Can't wait to level this guy and slaughter some aquatic pets.

Clearly I'm picking my arse the wrong way cos I spent ages there and nothing spawned. lol If you are Horde be careful with the guards!! :S

Update: Had upgraded this sexy "mechanical" to rare with the first mechanical battle-stone I got. I now finally got him to 25 and he is amazing at taking down Magic pets with his 309 speed. Just two spells. Decoy and Breath. Job done.

Yes, as Koneko mentions. This used to be a Flying pet, now (as per 5.1) a Dragonkin. Which makes it exactly like my Sprite Darter Hatchling. Same abilities. How lame. I liked how it looked like a Dragonkin and had abilities like one but was a Flying. Maybe to trick someone in a battle. But that time is over. /sadface

8:30am server and I am frying around at The Dry Hills. The respawn time is not too bad. Seems they share spawn with Adders and the infamous Prarie Dog. So when they show up around the Witching Slayers (bird ladies in thongs) I engage them and drop fight. Had a few poor and uncommon quality Harpy Younglings but no rare yet.

Eeeew.. 6am on this CRZ sitting at The Savage Thicket and there are quite a few people around trying their luck yet no battle pets to be seen as of yet. Hope this isn't the new Scourged Whelpling. Don't expect this one to be easy.

Edit: Well I give up for now. I'll plant my skinner here. That way I can kill drakes and get savage leather whilst looking.

Update: 2 days later and I been logging on and checking quite a number of times. Seen nothing. How depressing. :S

Was quite painful to hunt down a rare quality of this Shrine Fly. I basically just engaged all the battle pets around the area where the bigger yellow fly mob (with the same skin) is. Shrine Flies are often support pets in the battles. However must've taken a good few hours of grinding to get a rare to pop up. I suggest getting an addon that tells you the quality of the pets in the battle so you can quickly end the battle if there are no upgrades for you.
