Someone tell me that he only comes in 3/13 breed. Because that would make me laugh till I cried....

I've found that my Quilrat pup is one of my fave battlers. A combo of a poison skill, protect & damage skill, and a a fairly high damage & speed increase skill (that doesn't have a cooldown) is pretty powerful. I highly recomend it.

Just had to post cuse a friend told me to fish in front of the DMRabbit cave to have better luck catching this guy (between 10-100 casts) but after more then 100 casts there was nothing. So I checked wowhead and the cords were way off. Its actually an underwater cave about halfway up the east side of the island and out to the edge of the water shelf (when you see the fatige bar your out far enough). You'll see a large sunken ship. Its just below the ship.

For anyone having problems finding this little lovey you are not alone. Despite what wowhead seems to think this pet seems to be VERY rare on some servers. I camped and relm hoped for days before I finally found one. Dont give up hope, you'll find it eventually.

I dont know if anyone else has had an issue of this but when I caught this little guy he was the 252nd pet in my collection (Devouring Maggot too :/) and yet he wasn't added to the count. >.< I really hope they fix this soon. Its getting a little iritating.

*sigh* I've been sitting here for almost 3 days and I've had a few spawn but they have only ever been poor. I finally got sick of it and caught one. I'll see if I can come back after a server restart to get a wack at a at least an uncommon but for now I think I'll just plan to use a stone on it. >.<

 

[edit] And OF COURSE as soon as I catch the poor what should show up? An uncommon! LOL And MAN do these things hit like a truck!

The first one I found was an uncommon (I usually catch uncommons then hunt for a rare after) and of course my fell flame crits. >.< Then waded threw a few dozen poor and commons then finally found another uncommon. On a whim I decided to battle the last one I saw in the area and it was rare. >w< I loved the evil toothy grin on the Jade but I think the eyes on this one are so fudging cute! I dont know why I like him so much but he just rocketed to the top of my faves list. :3

The required bug seems to be fixed (FINALLY) as of October 11th. At least on Hellscream it is. I hope its also fixed for everyone else.

 

I love the fact that this little guy has the same animations as the hawkstriders. Makes him so unbelevably cute!

Dont know if it was because of time or weather but I found 2 at roughly 5:30am server time (on Hellscream) and it was raining.

A comment on Wowhead said that they have a chance to spawn with the adult bears so I kept killing the adults and it seemed to be true because on a second pass about half the respawned bears had babies near them.

 

They are wonderfully cute little buggers and they DO keep the eggs on there backs after capture, just not when in battle. If you summon them outside of battle they have the eggs just like the adult bears.

Something interesting I've found about the pet that makes my heart break just a little more. The quest "an old friend" saying "shes earned a few scares" isn't just flavor text. Compare the companion with the NPC (Ohgan'Aka) and you'll notice that she dose have small scars around her mouth and large ones along the back of her neck that she didn't have before.

I just got this after camping for the better part of the day. It is totally a must have for every pet collector. But she spawned roughly an hour before she "should have". She shares a spawn timer with a chest. The chest spawned around 3 and she spawned around 8. I'm glad I choose to log in "early" to wait.

Dont give up if you havn't gotten her. If someone with my bad luck can get her then ANYONE can get her.

Eh, dont know if its been noticed but I think little Eggy might be a Swift Pink Hawkstrider hatchling. Makes me wonder about the hawkstrider breeders if there turning out so many crack hatchlings....

I'd like to either update or correct previous information.
Collecting shadow dust gets you 150pt rep and you only need 6 each time. You also get 100pt rep for killing each adversarial blood boss (and all but karrog are fairly easy to take alone). Vakkiz the Windrager is probably the easiest (coming from a blood spec DK lvl 77). While collecting the scrolls to summon him you'll end up getting plenty of dust too. Compared to other BC rep this has actually been the easiest.

I'd like to correct a previous post and say that, yes, the Pup DOES interact with the fetch ball. I love playing fetch with my pup.
