I got this on exactly 31 casts. I am a bit impatient with these things so on the 30th cast I was ready to give up. I gave it one more shot and Voila! there it was. Don't give up hope! You will get this adorable pet. (Also being in the fishing quest for Darkmoon Faire does help with drop rate) Good fishing!

This pet is a little bit small for my tastes but maybe I'm just picky. Well worth the gold or effort.

I beg to differ, Breanni. Whiskers the rat was the first Children's Week pet I got and I had him out EVERYWHERE. To all pet collectors out there enjoying Winter Veil or any other holiday, Happy Holidays.

A useful way to get money for this lil' guy is to go through the front room a few times and you can get lots of money and you have a chance of getting him at the same time. Happy Hunting!

The Mechanical Frog IS also under mechanical. And trying to get it is not hard. Just get the mats (or not) and say on trade chat WTB Lifelike Toad (have mats) and you'll get it in no time! Happy Hunting!

I am really anxious to get this pet but I've heard a lot of good ways to do the quest and I watched someone else do it:
First you get at least three dark iron ale (don't know how to get those). Then you wait for Darkmoon Fair to come along near you're home city or Shattrath (moves between Shattrath, Mulgore, and Elwynn so make sure you have access to it.) Then get the quest Spawn of a Jubling and get Jubjub to come to the quest-giver using the Dark Iron ale. You need 1 to finish the quest. :-)
