Killed him today 11/18/14 and he did not drop the pet. Bring heals, tank, and lots of dps...this guy hits like a truck! Will be camping him again for the pet!

I took a DK friend into AQ to help me with the frost part of the fight, and the pet dropped on the first kill. With two level 90's this guy goes down FAST. We switched to our alts to try our luck again, my Shaman used Frostbrand weapon and Frost Shock which worked to get him frozen. No pet, though I would say getting him on the first shot was pretty darn lucky! Bring a friend if you are having issues killing him once he is frozen, good luck!

Helped two guild mates farm this pet last night, there were three of us, and two others out there farming. The respawn rate on the Noxious Whlep is crazy fast. We had two drop for us in about an hour and a half. With the amount of people out there killing, I'd say the drop rate is probably correct. 

I have been camping this pet for months, if not over a year. I read the comment that killing the Infernal Sentries might help...it could be a TOTAL coincidence but I went there tonight and killed just 1 round of them, and my Minfernal popped. MONTHS of camping this pet, and it appeared in just 30 seconds of killing those Infernal Sentries. Was only common, but it gave me all my achievements I was stuck on. Couldn't be more thrilled. 

Fished mine up in Krasarang Wilds while doing my dailies there. Loc 62.42, 20.94 wasn't really trying for it and fished up a Flying Tiger Gourami for the Nat Pagle quest turn in with the Tiny Green Carp so it was a really good cast :)

 

I was under the impression this would be in a sealed crate but it just popped into my bags. Also, it was in open water, not a pool. Good luck!

I left an alt camped out in the zone for 2 days, finally saw one spawn by Bael Modan as others suggested, coords 47.76,84.88 on Arygos 8:12am server time. 

This was my 7th fossil to solve. Super cute pet, love it! It takes 85 fossils to complete, got it in about 2 hours of receiving the project.
