Found (and captured) one as a front line pet yesterday during a dark phase.  After checking wowhead, it looks like Blizzard got the message and fixed the 11.0.5 issue.  Good hunting everyone... and be careful of its suicide ability.

Rocky drops from boss rare named Macabre.  He spawned at the Ring of Dance in Ardenweald zone.  You need 3 people to summon Macabre at the Ring of Dance. To summon him: Player 1 dances with Player 2, Player 2 dances with Player 3, and Player 3 dances with Player 1.  Kill Macabre and loot Rocky. 8-)
