The best pet for an aoe team. use lightning storm+cyclone for insane damage with a rare on of these. then pull out your lil' xt or p/p pocket reaver and Tympanic Tantrum/Quake for even more aoe damage. once both pets are dead switch to a 'cleanup' pet (which for me is a Nordrassil Wisp as is quick and has an aoe spell). also enemy pets trigger his passive whilst lightning storm is active when he gets lower than 25% health :P

the best of all the direhorns as it balances high speed and high attack. speed is relatively useless in most pets, but as direhorns have primal cry, the high speed ones (pygmy direhorn and Direhorn Runt h/s breed) will allways go first except against flying pets, allowing their Horn Attack to stun the opponent.

for all those asking which the best breed is, i would recommend a h/s breed. this means, along with primal cry, that you will almost always be first, allowing your Horn Attack to stun the opponent against all enemies except flying pets (which you wouldn't want to use a direhorn against as all its abilities are beast)
