It doesn't always show up as an add on pet. I found one just inside the cave at 50.22/71.50 in Highmountain. 

Love this pet, he's hilarious! And the drop rate must be fairly high as I got him first try as well. 

Not bragging or anything, but mine is H/S as well. Cute little guy though. 

Finally picked one up this morning, (P/P, but I could care less). Spent probably close to 80,000 coins to get it. Just be persistant, there seems to be no real pattern as far as chests go, but I will say that he dropped from a small chest. Good luck! 

The MOBS are located on isle of thunder at 52.31/80.22. Just go back and forth in the pool killing the smaller quivering filth's. The large elites seem to spawn when the smaller ones are killed. Took me about 10 minutes of killing them before I got the pet drop. Stayed around to catch one for the wife but after two hours, I moved on. Guess I was lucky. 

Probably one of the best pets in my opinion. Fast, hits hard and has excellent heals. Great addition to any collection. 

Excellent pet, very stong. I picked up a poor at 45/42 in Howling Fjord. I just camped there and within about an hour, one showed up. Captured it, stoned it, and leveled it to 25 using battle training stones. Well worth the effort and time invested in looking for one. 

I got mine, first try. Wife got hers on her first try as well. For those unfamiliar with BT, he drops from the second boss. The first boss also drops a pet.
