Nexus Whelpling using Arcane Storm, Mana Surge, Arcane Storm, then the Mini Mindslayer using Arcane Storm easily defeats all three of Vesharr's pets to open up the vendor.

This week my usual strategy ended up by failing due to an unlucky miss on Xu-Fu's part having the lightning storm end before some harder hitting pets got in the fight.  A couple more tries left me bereft of mechanicals.  He was my last one, so in despair, I tried Elfuego's strategy of wolf + spider.  Doesn't matter what my third was, because the spiderling swarm just murdered him.  GG P/P Twilight Spider!
