I had TWO of this little guy drop in 24 hours. I completed what I could of the Lashtail Hatchling quest on my rogue and looted it from a basilisk. I went to finish the quest line on a max toon when it dropped from one of the water elementals in Northern STV. (It'd make more sense if it dropped from a bird, eh?)

In the 3 years I've been playing, I've never seen it drop for anyone before. I'm unsure of the drop rate, but it does look like it's STV-zoned. Good luck to you fellow collectors!

I got lucky with this guy and found him at around my 7th bag! He's pretty hideous, but I will gladly add him to my companion family :]

For me, I was only able to have one "Hidden Stash" bag in my inventory at a time, so make sure to loot it as soon as you pick it up, otherwise you might spend a few minutes wondering why you haven't come across another one.

This pet is adorable. While the toy zeppelins are fun, I like that this one follows me around.

This pet *is* attackable by other pets. I was standing next to someone with their Lil' XT out, and it took 3 zeppelin deaths for me to figure out that the other person's pet was assassinating my airship! :[ I like the whirring the engine makes. It's a small feature that makes it feel more authentic.

Overall really fun, and a nice addition to my pet collection.

I love this little pet! It took quite a bit of work, but I managed to fish it up on about 5 different toons between 2 servers.

The drop rate seems to be pretty random. On my druid with max fishing and the Kalu'ak pole, it dropped in about 40 minutes. However, on a toon with little more than 180 fishing skill, it dropped in about 10 minutes. And on yet another toon, it took an hour and a half.

Don't give up or be discouraged! This little guy is really cute!

This guy dropped right before my subscription ended. I had him out before I exited so that I can squeal with joy when I next log in :]

It took about 19 heroic solo runs as a level 85 Nelf druid before he dropped. The mount dropped 3 times before the pet. It was tedious, but I got my "You're So Offensive" achievement in the process. Well worth the effort! I love my little dude!
