Status Update (1)

Just hit 500 pets at max level. Trying hard to stick with it and level them all.

I love pet collecting, but this is the end for me of trying to get the whole set. Getting that deep into every class is just ridiculous.

Thanks for the heads up to start saving charms!

I love Mini Tyrael, so he was one of the first pets I started using in PvE battles for the sake of aethetics mostly. But, he's very solid against critters as they're weak against him, and with his heals he can take a lot of punishment (which also makes him a good choice for when you're trying to capture). He is terrible vs. beasts, however, so I keep a mechanical on the team or my old standby Emerald Whelpling for wild pet battles. He's a dragon destroyer. I haven't tried PvP battles, so unfortunatley can't offer any comments on his performance there.

I've named my Azure Whelpling "Awbee" in honor of the poor lost little whelp in Blackrock Spire. I did her quest back in the day, and it was one of my favorites. I always wanted to take Awbee with me as a pet. I was so happy when they added this pet to the game!

The next best thing to having this pet is, if you are a Jewelcrafter, you can have it follow you around for a short time when activating the Figurine - Demon Panther trinket.

This little slime will eat critters of any size but not other mini pets (that I have found anyway) and will grow in size for the first three critters it eats. It will continue to eat critters after that, but will not get any bigger than about gnome size.

Mr. Chilly does respond to /sexy! He just does not respond every time. Keep trying, and eventually he will rapidly scoot away from you while leaving a frosty cloud in his wake.

If I feed my kitten enough Papa Hummel's pet biscuits, maybe he'll turn into a Spectral Tiger mount... >.>

Whatever you do, don't accidentally key voice chat while making Kung Fu noises along with your Pandaren. Not that I would know this from experience...

So, if Lil' K.T. kills Mr. Bigglesworth, does Naxxaramus explode?

A great start; now we need to see proto-drake whelps in all the other colors, too!

It used to be that you would occasionally find this pet on the AH for very little money (I got mine for 24s) but now that it's epic rarity, those days are probably over. It never hurts to keep an eye out though, because a lot of people don't collect pets and might not be aware of it's value, especially since it drops in a lowbie area.

This is also a good pet to farm if you are rebuilding your Steamwheedle reputation after becoming a Bloodsail Admiral.

The rare Dalaran Spellscribe is the best mob to farm for this pet. It's respawn is quick, about 6 or 7 hours, and you can run through the village where it spawns spamming a targetting macro to quickly see if it's there. It's not generally camped, so if you leave a char logged out in the area you can get several kills a day with minimal time invested.

I'm pretty sure little Roo escaped the orphanage by mailing *himself* to me. That's ok, Oracles don't gnaw on you ankles constantly the way puppymen pups do.

Re: Egbert
No matter how many times you see this little crack baby sprint right at a boss when his ADD kicks in, sooner or later it will give you a near-heart attack for fear of aggro.

It's good luck if Rocket Chicken explodes on a boss pull!

For the Alliance, this Horde-purchased pet is generally *much* cheaper to obtain from the neutral auction house than from the Alliance auction house.
