Logged in to start farming for the Qiraji Guardling, and there were tons of people. So I switched over to an alt that has been camping the island for the Baby Ape, and OMG it was raining! I am now the proud owner of an Uncommon Baby Ape! After over 7 months of farming... They do exist!
