Make sure there is a full pile of sticks there before you try to clear them.  I went in when there were just two and clicked them and nothing happened with the battle pet.  He just stayed in there and the beavers started building again.

It seems that there is also an S/S (Ninja) breed available for this pet.  P/S is 12/11 at level 1, and S/S is 11/13 at level 1.

I also got several Golden Beetles as secondary pets around the southern island where you can find the Barrier Hermits.

Got this as my 5th pet from my alchy's transmute meat to pet in BfA, and it was the first one that was NOT from Burning Crusade.  Be prepared to get old pets from new materials - that was a big shock for me.

also drops on 25N

It doesn't seem to matter which robot starts - toxitron is the one that drops it (sometimes you have to go to the back to loot).  Got it on 25N with two different starting robots.

Have been farming ToC for pets... so far have had seven of these drop - four from 10 reg, the others from 25 and 25H.  They seem far more common than many other WotLK drops.

Found one (white) at 25.59, 56.81 in Howling Fjord - first pet in the battle, and it doesn't seem to be a spawn point based on map marks (although I haven't read through all comments here, so I may have missed something).  Good luck everyone!
