Instead of counting kills I just set a timer. It took 20 mins to get my pet. That was about 3 1/2 circles around the group of islands at Forgotten Shore in Shadowmoon Valley. So excited. I was falling asleep. I know that 20 mins isn't very long, but i tire easily ;) teehee!!

I used some of the tips fellow commentors left. I made a target macro and added target to my mini map. I found Nethaera's Light in a christmas tree. One cheer gives you the pet. Directly into your inventory NOT in your bags :D

I fought the Lich King twice since the new expansion. Once on 25 man Heroic and it dropped Wicked Soul. Then today I played on 25 man NORMAL like other commenters said to do and Drudge Ghoul dropped :D I must be lucky! If you havn't gotten this pet on Heroic, try on NORMAL it may drop for you.

Ran all 3 raids on my lvl 100 mage and not one single pet dropped :( Sad times lol.'Raiding with leashes II' seemed to have quicker drops.

This reminded me of the white tickbird hatchling quest in Terokkar Forest. Very easy to get this little guy :D

Just finished my rare artifact :D I love it! So stinking cute!!!

I got this pet about an hour ago. If you go to Ashran there is an archeology trainer and seller. The seller has "treasure maps" for 100g each. The treasure map for Shadowmoon Valley shows you exactly where the spore is. I was so excited! Good luck!

I hate moths! I hate fighting moths! With that said it took me a few hours to catch a rare. I did find a rare flamering moth as a pigback pet while trying to get this rare so that was awesome!

Yay finally got my little cutie.  I started yesterday just killing all the chicks and grabbing nests and that was my goal. Today if I past a nest I would grab it. My focus tonight was just hunting for rares and saw a nest and there my chickie was. So excited wasn't even expecting it. I always believe the whole "watched pot of water never boils" so secretly pretend you are not looking for the crane chick and it may just show up :)

Spent the last two hours killing every rat I came across I definitely know their pattern of spawn points now grrr. No minfernal spawn came from killing anything :( Also since today is the patch launch and its Tuesday I figured I would have the best chance of getting one and nothing. I'll try again tonight.

 

It's tuesday again and I logged on right when WOW came back online. There were 7 paws I got so excited but they all were tainted rats :( sigh smh. I hate camping lol.

Just picked up a rare after a few hours of farming. coord 66/36 outside of Zul'Gurub!!

Took a few days to find it...but finally got a rare one today in Kal'ai Ruins. Here u find crimson moths as the first pet instead of the secondary. I found mine at coord 41/42 :D 

Just captured my rare after the 5th battle :D they are found all over Mount Neverrest and surrounding snowy area super cute!!! coord 58/50 Kun-lai Summit

Just captured a rare lvl 10 if you jump off the road to the left once you pop into darkmoon there are 4 or 5 glowflies. My rare was the very last glowfly before you reach the edge. I just used slowfall to get back to the faire and ran back up again to the portal and did it again. This time looking for a rare crow. Only grays so far. The cool thing is the glowflies were all back up already so the spawn time is awesome :D happy hunting!!

if you find one just grab it regardless of color lol i was greedy and found a green/uncommon right away and decided to risk leaving to find out there are no more spawns :(

I never ever comment on here, but wanted to confirm the scalewing  shelf. Got a rare at coord 66.61 I also never ever get rares the first go so i'm especially happy i did this at 4am server time ;)

I got my toxic wasteling today! So excited I wasn't even trying for it I wanted the mount, but this is great!!!
