Got mine tonight.  I can verify that the sequence of interaction is the same as listed on main info page.  Split the running around to 2 days.  Will be a lot easier to do once we get flying ability.  Reminds me of running around to get Alpaca mount in Uldum.

This Pet is located in a small cave at 41.51, 19.71 in Maldraxxus

Just got mine!  On first attempt.  I ran counterclockwise around the acid field.  Finally found a channel in the mountains that lead to a wall portion near the chest.  Was able to climb on to the wall and jump down to a small island that the chest was sitting on.

Same for me.  I did not realize he was in my bag.  I was too busy trying to stay alive in the group to check.  Only found out which rare drop him when I looked up the pet here in Warcraftpets.com

I went down there today and found 2 near the vendor.  Was able to battle it and got a poor one.  (nothing a rare stone won't fix)  He no longer has the bandana or the swords.  There goes the COOL factor!  I used 3 Eldritch Manafiends for easy capture.

She was a LV 121 not 120.  Nothing on first attempt.

His location is wrong.  He is at Seeker's Vista in Stormsong Valley where you turn in your WQ .
