Super cute but I'm seeing a pattern of extreme laziness from Blizz. This is 5k gold and Scout doesn't really do anything unless you /pet him, which isn't enough. Even the achievement pets seem half-assed. WoW Pet team should feel ashamed.
Not digging the looks of the bulk of the 9.2 battle pets. Apparently saving the good stuff for the store and our $$$.
If you don't do mythic level content, just find someone that will let you enter their lockout once they've cleared to the vendor and activated him. I was able to buy Rarity this way.
You can also get all the wild battle pets without killing a single mob. Do the quest chain out of Oribos to gain access to the dungeon. Once you can enter, reset the dungeon as needed, as there will be anywhere from zero, to one, to two wild battle pets to battle in the area by the dungeon entrance. All of the wild pets get cycled through, if not as the first pet, then as one of the other two.
You can summon another companion pet (except Daisy) when she's on your back, without losing her! Summon Pepe using the Transdimensional Whistle, and you're a walking Menagerie!
@ Beyonder. I actually got them to delete two of the inactive, empty RaF accounts I'd made....of course now it's coming back to haunt me! lol

I dual-box questing, and got this pet on both toons in the same kill today - Breeds were B/B and H/S. In looking at the AH, I also saw it came in H/P. So that's on top of the H/H reported here.
Anyone know what best breed is for this battle pet?
Margoss's Retreat has phasing, so be sure to use the Dungeon Finder/Premade Groups to look for others. Drowned Mana Currency (used to gain rep/buy items) drops in raid, and the bigger group means more chances to share in the boss, Aquaos and his Drowned Mana 100% drop rate.
When applicable, don't forget to get the DarkMoon buff/Top Hat to enjoy the bonus gains to reputation!
I COULD buy the calf...I'm getting close to where I could buy the spider mount. I can't see spending that much gold on either - especially when the hippo pets/mounts aren't appealing (Celestial Calf is all "lipstick on a pig"), and the Spider mount can't fly.
I just got it today, and I did it in "heroic" mode since I'm also farming Mim's Head. I didn't even realize it had dropped, until, I went to "learn" all the stuff showing in my New Openables addon, and I got the RWL IV achieve. lol
Supposedly comes in every possible breed. I personally have H/H, H/S, H/P and P/S sitting in my bags and have no idea what to keep and what to toss. Split is HP based, so perhaps H/H or any of the H/* breeds?
I would have purchased Brightpaw anyway, but so great to have it support a wonderful cause. SOOO cute. Just wish it they'd made it so it could fly with my Mystic Runesaber mount!
Bought this pet the day it come out, like I do with all their pets. Kinda forgot about him. My pet addon pulled him out today, and omg...I never knew how fricken cute he is. Those little tush wiggles followed by scampering twirls, and how he trips and falls on his face with his butt up in the air, both make me squee like a schoolgirl. lol

The pink bow makes me sad - it's more like a deformed blob that peeks out from under his chin. It looks more like a doggie "Columbian neck tie," but with careful camera turning and zooming in, I was able to understand (because someone here identified it) that's supposed to be (but imho epically fails to be) a bow. Blizz couldn't manage better than that? He'd be better off without the bow, frankly.
On the plus side, Tito sits and howls up at the sky when you summon him which I find super cute. The tornado (complete with Dorothy's house) that spits him up in the air is hysterical, although it seems very infrequent.
I actually posted a "suggestion" in-game to Blizzard taking them to task for mocking pet collectors with such a lazy "reward" - and asking them to change the reward entirely or at least upgrade it. How hard is it to at least do a simple recolor? Even then it would have been a lousy reward, but at least a tiny bit less of an insult. H/B breed ID? Ugh. Well, did they at least give it to us as a level 25, since the reward is for leveling pets to 25? NOPE. Does it "sing" like the Singing Sunflower? Nope. Not worth leveling or displaying; frankly, I get annoyed just thinking about this pet, nvm displaying it. Only worth having to round out one's collection.
Easiest way to find them is to park in the Southern Barrens when they announce a server reset and fly around with a "/tar giraffe calf" macro immediately after the server comes back up. I've still only managed to get a green "Uncommon" quality Giraffe Calf (after about 15-20 poor), but it beats flying around for hours and killing mobs to get one, when there will be a good half dozen up after a server reset.
Guess Blizz will be selling this in the store down the road. Such a disappointing and petty decision from them.
