Status Update (1)

I was going to add the 2nd mini jouster to my collection, but found out that this site hasn't been updated to allow that to occur. - She's counted now. Thank you, Fliphealftw.

Oh well, its ok. There are lives outside of WOW.

This was 124 for me, and at 9/10 for Pebbles, I believe I wlll be finding the Kaliri in the mail soon.

Granny Weatherwax didn't have a cat. Nanny Ogg did. Greebo was one tough cat.

The WICKER MAN is NOT a pet. This is the only PET available from the Hallow's End vendors. (Dorothy is the Alliance Vendor. The Vendors for both sides are near the Wicker Men.)

Darn it - this is to those who have read Terry Pratchett, and know Granny Weatherwax, Nanny Ogg etc - Granny W, Was given the kitten and didn't know what to do with it. She would never hurt it - but having any pet is against her nature

Actually, I thought I picked up a breadcrumb for this quest line from one of the givers of the Hallow's End Dailies.

It reminds me of The Luggage from the Discworld Series by Terry Pratchett, too.

I am also glad its available at a low level.

For those doing the questing, IF you have the Traveling Tundra Mount (from Dalaran) you do not have to search for vendors or use the AH for 5 crystal vials, and 5 arcane powders. Your mount sells these items.

I am wondering if Blizz changed the drop rate on subsequent patches.
I know I got my Scorched Stone before I saw all five "Lts of the Flame."
I had read Wowhead and didn't expect this guy for about a month.
I was very surprised when it dropped in less than a week.
I can only hope that the same is true for others.

Please, please be patient for this pet to drop. It is NOT in a lock box. I am well aware of my guild situation, and my own (poor) abilities. That I received this pet still amazes me

I recently got this pet. It is not my favorite because if I am in a low level area I don't want or need it around. And I am in low level areas questing for Loremaster, farming for pets, or doing Archaeology.

HOWEVER, it is the pet that has triggered the most questions from other players as many want it. But as they learn that is comes from TCG loot they are not happy.

I want the suit/costume and then I can go for the fun stuff.

There are exactly 33 raptors. 19 are in the southeastern section, and 14 are in the northwestern section. Good for frozen herbs, about 50% are Gold Clover, 25% are Tiger Lily and 25% are Talandra's Rose. On average, a tad less than 2 skins per kill and about 99 kills/hour.

It took me about 1250 kills before this hatchling dropped for me, and a week of farming, with at least 100 kills per session. I counted 1228 kills, but I had a few more when doing archaeology in the area.

Re: Pebble
I am wondering if the appearance of this daily has increased since its initial appearance.

I was late to Cata, after the 4.1 patch.

I think this daily appeared at least once a week, since I earned the rep with Therazane to get this quest.

It takes due diligence to get this done. I was exalted with Therazane weeks ago, and had to keep checking into Deepholm to finish this and the Glop family line achievements.

When I farmed this for me, the Macaw fell during the first run through DM.

I just farmed this for my guild mate. It took three runs through DM and it dropped one of the last pirates in that 3rd run.

I did notice that during the last instance there were "Monstrous Parrots" flying about with the Screachers. I didn't notice them on the two previous runs.

You need to be lvl 85. You pick up the chain in Stormwind Harbor (Alliance). Breadcrumb on the Heros Call board.

You get the pet early in the chain.

You need to finish the chain to prevent STV from being phased. The last quest puts you in Booty Bay. You have to be dismounted to talk to the person Bwemba has been looking for. This is necessary to stop the phasing of STV.

Its an easy quest. It takes about 5 or 10 minutes.

The balloons are located at ground level, and sparkle. You can be on a flying mount with them.

I found one in The Cathedral Square, one in the Damaged Harbor to the southwest of the Cathedral Square, and three others in the Dwarven District.

It may have been easier for me because I don't think anyone else was looking for the balloons.

I also think it was good of Blizzard to make a new LOW level pet available.

My balloon counted.

I want to encourage all of those farmers who are having bad luck.

I know your pain. You have killed over 1000 animals and humanoids in STV and this hatchling still won't drop. I had to kill around 3000 before she dropped.

Your consolation is that you have also been farming the Hyacinth Macaw, with a 1 in 5000 drop rate. You may even get another hatchling or two before the Macaw drops.

So keep going for this elusive hatchling. She is worth it.

For me - 8 hatchlings down, 2 more to go.

This particular croc was a long farm for me.

The first three crocs dropped in order while doing the fishing dailies.

I swear this one took at least six more tries, possibly eight or more. The time period was at least two and a half months.

It finally dropped on the first day of the Midsummer World Event.

I have noticed that the first day of world events are often times when this particular fishing daily will turn up on my server. (US, Alterac Mtns.)

I just started farming this hatchling.
I was very lucky and have all the hatchlings that come from nests.

There are 24 raptors in the instance. Each raptor drops either a tooth or a flecked deviate scale.
If the drop rate is 1 per 1000, you may have to do 50 or so runs through the instance.

I did 16 runs today.

You don't have to worry about others when farming this hatchling because you are in your own instance.
You can only do 5 runs in a dungeon per hour.

After the Cenarion Hatchling/Hippogryph Hatchling, there are at least 4 TCG pets that are repeats.

I would rather have a different color scheme to tell the pets apart, to make them slightly different from each other.

I was unable to complete Princess Thaalia's quest line when I was a level 20/30 something. One part of the rescue is particularly difficult.

I recently went back to try it again and it seemed a whole lot easier.

I don't know if got changed or just being level 80+ made the difference.

Can't wait until I am geared for Heroics and I get this Hatchling. I love her and always have since being in STV when I was a low level player.

A swing on LadyHryaeda's route gives you 21 bogflare weedlers to kill. Most are on the Serpent Lake side of the isles, but there is one that is tucked away on the Blades Edge side. I would pick that one up on my return flight to the beginning of the farming route.

Mine dropped today after approx. 650 kills. I am not lucky. I have been going after the Razzashi Hatchling with more than 1500 kills and no luck on that.
