No, it isn't a thoughtful gift, as it can't be gifted.

Got one for myself, but I had wanted to buy another for a friend, very sad that I can't.

Sure, this little dino is a tough fighter in battle.

But even if he was useless I would still adore him.. he is CUTE!

I love how, if I stand still too long, he will run around me in an impatient circle.  "Come on, come on, there are adventures to have!"

Of all my pets this is the only one that regularly has people whispering me to comment on his cuteness. 

Just wanted to add that this is an unusually large pet.

He is about the same height as a gnome, and looks more like an elemental minion than a companion pet.

With in minutes of summoning him next to my warlock gnome, in Stormwind, someone whispered me to ask how I got the "funky demon".

One of the most useful pets in my squad.

Regularly sees action for Beasts of Fable and Pandaren trainer dailies.

When you want a massive bash, Chrominius is the go-to pet
