THe portals spawn every 30 minutes at this point (not sure when that began, rather than hourly). Duplicate Sarge items are definitely possible. In about 20 or so kills I have gotten five Sarge items. I have been able to trade away all but one (no takers on my dirst duplicate) to eligible players.

Buying the pets - especially with a fairly low cost - is more my preference than random loot.

Thanks very much to Faolin and their Horde guild on Hyjal-US, I now have a Deathwatch Hatchling. I chose to create an Orc Rogue, and (with the epic guild-rep tabard and three heirloom items) reached Revered guild reputation level at character level 15. To pay for it I auctioned three of the Rogue starter armor pieces, which netted me over 500 gold (the pet costs 300)!

A good place for a high-level character to farm Ethereal Credits on Northrend is in southwest Sholazar Basin where there are opposing camps of Frenzyheart Wolvar and Oracle Murlocs. If you have gained reputation with one of those two factions then fight the other. The NPCs have fairly low health and strength (considering their high-70s levels), and drop small amounts of cash silver, scrolls, and potions. They respawn quickly in large numbers.

The Pandaren Monk is amazingly cute and has incredible animations: two fighting sequences, plus bows and stretches. If you /drink with him, he sits down to drink from his hip bottle. He'll remain sitting until you move quite a large distance away, at which point he runs to catch up. If you /bow to him he will bow back to you!
